Life Coaching combined with Counselling is a practice of assisting clients to determine and achieve personal goals, while also exploring psychological issues. A coach will use a variety of methods (mentoring, values assessment, behavior modification, behavior modeling, goal-setting) tailored to the client’s needs, to move through the process of setting and achieving goals.
It is a practical, forward-looking way to achieve clarity on what you don't like about your life and what you can do about it. It's also a powerful support system to keep you motivated and moving in the right direction. It provides an external perspective on your subjective experiences.
During your sessions you'll be asked powerful questions, thereby facilitating your thought processes to reveal surprising insights into your world and your mind. You'll be challenging your belief-systems and attitudes. With this newly acquired self-knowledge, you will be able move out of feeling “stuck” as you regain your confidence and begin to “ascend” and enjoy your freedom from self-defeating behaviour and patterns.
During your sessions, you and your coach will work on turning problems statements into solution statements, developing plans to move you towards your goals, and to maintain your focus and positive motivation to get you there. Coaching and counselling highlights the key issues you should work on and provides you with the structured framework to make the progress you've dreamed of for so long. You'll always be in control, as the coach looks out for your best interests and keeps you on track.
