London’s Hale Clinic is launching a Holistic Fertility Service in
recognition of the need for women to nurture their bodies in the
build-up to successful conception and pregnancy.
Led by clinicians, Anastasia Stephens, Susi Kaiser and Dian
Shepperson-Mills, the service will offer a unique combination of
fertility-enhancing herbal medicine, nutritional advice, hypnotherapy
and Maya Abdominal Massage.

Maya Abdominal Massage is a new treatment that helps to clear any
congestion around the womb area. ‘Developed in Belize by traditional
doctors, this helps clear the pelvic area and boosts blood flow to the
abdomen,’ says Susi Kaiser who is trained in the method. ‘By gently
massaging the uterus, you can make sure it is sitting in an optimal
position, which is helpful for conception.’
Hypnotherapy is another powerful fertility-boosting tool. ‘In a
recent Israeli study (1), hypnosis doubled the success of IVF
treatment,’ says Anastasia Stephens.
‘Much of its effectiveness lies in its ability to counteract
stress,’ she says. ‘Hypnotherapy can also work directly with emotions
associated with fertility and fertility problems, aiding conception by
nurturing a positive emotional and physical state.’
