Heather is an Osteopath registered with the General Osteopathic Council in the UK and has also qualified in Herbal Medicine and Nutrition in Australia. She has had many years of experience in natural health. She is also an accredited healer with The College of Psychic Studies ( UK).

She grew up in an isolated area of New Zealand moving to Australia for several years and then eventually to London where she studied at the London School of Osteopathy.

She became keenly interested in natural health when her own immune system collapsed and she embarked on a road to recovery experimenting with and discovering different alternative therapies. This resulted in the understanding that we are all unique and she therefore views each patient with this attitude and also the sensitivity to adapt her treatments to her patient’s needs and special requirements.

She practises Osteopathy, Cranial Osteopathy, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Osteopathy, Paediatric Osteopathy, Herbal Medicine and Healing for all ages. Her approach is integrative combining therapies as needed. Osteopathy is an effective form of treatment using manipulation, articulation and soft tissue massage of joints, ligaments, muscles and nerves to ease pain, stiffness and immobility.

Some of the many conditions treated are: Back, neck, body pain/aches and stiffness; sports injuries, sciatica, nerve pain, migraine and headaches, stress, frozen shoulder, postural problems, wrist/hand pain, foot pain, arthritic pain, and tendonitis.

Cranial Osteopathy and Craniosacral therapy are very gentle and relaxing being important for stress and tension related disorders, headaches, increasing immunity, post illness/operation and trauma, whiplash, chronic fatigue, chronic neck and back pain, spinal cord injuries, motor co-ordination impairments, children, sensitive patients and more. It releases restrictions in body tissues by the monitoring of the craniosacral system and therefore often resulting in the release of the body cellular memory.

Paediatric Osteopathy is particularly important for babies as an uncorrected cranial lesion may result in prolonged crying, disturbed sleep, colic, breathing difficulties etc or could lead to structural abnormalities in later life or learning disorders. Heather is adept at treating both the pregnant mother and her new born child.

Visceral Osteopathy encompasses the treatment of the organs e.g. Liver, gallbladder, kidneys, lungs, stomach, large and small intestine, pancreas, spleen. It is especially good for indigestion, all digestive ailments and discomfort in the vicinity of the organs. These organs have a membranous covering which allow them to move smoothly. A restriction in this movement can result in malfunction, resulting in pain and discomfort.

Herbal Medicine often combined with Nutrition is a method of natural healing involving the use of scientifically researched products and traditional medicines. They are used by Heather for general well being, indigestion and other digestive disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, bloating, women’s health, menopause, tiredness and stress, low immunity, skin disorders, weight control, sports nutrition, musculoskeletal disorders, chest infection, colds and flu, increased blood pressure,  high cholesterol and other ailments.

Healing and energy balancing can assist any of the above therapies. Heather is an ‘ intuitive’ having trained at the College of Psychic Studies, enabling her to clear energy blockages and rebalance and energise the aura and chakras. These being aligned to our emotional and physical well being. She will help you manage your energy and counsel on issues such as grounding and protection. She is also a member of The Spirit Release Foundation.

Heather may use a combination of therapies as needed with the addition of advice such as corrective exercises and diet measures.
